Our tuition is charged monthly based on the number of hours per week your child is in class.
*The monthly tuition for your child will not change or be pro-rated for months with holidays & vacations or for missed classes – you are charged the same tuition for every month enrolled. You are not charged tuition the recital month of May. Some months have 5 classes and some vacation months only have 2.
*In addition to tuition there is a one-time annual registration fee, recital fee, and costume fee as outlined below. We strongly encourage students to use our auto draft program for monthly tuition which saves you $10 per month in tuition costs. If you have entered a credit card when enrolling online you will automatically be included in this program (unless you request otherwise). Families wishing to continue using this program must have an active card on file. Families that have cards continuously decline are subject to losing the discount and pay full tuition. Late fees are assessed for accounts not up to date by the 10th of each month.
There will be an annual non-refundable registration fee of $30 per student enrolled. For families, the fee is $30 for the first student and $15 for each additional student. The student pays this fee once each year and does not pay multiple registration fees for taking more than one class. This fee does not apply to adult classes. Students enrolled in summer classes will not pay registration fee again for fall.
Costume Fee added to February Tuition/Recital Fee added to March Tuition
The costume fees vary by class and run $40-$100 per class. For students taking multiple classes they will pay multiple costume fees but only one recital fee.
The recital fee is $20 per student and includes the recital tee shirt and recital DVD.
Recital tickets will be sold through the Halton Theater website beginning in February. Parents and guests are required to have a ticket.
Discounts on Pricing
We offer discounts for families with more than one student enrolled. After first student, each additional student receives $10 off their monthly tuition.

MISSED OR CANCELLED CLASSES:
- Missed Classes
If a student misses a class, she/he can make it up in a similar class within a month of the date missed. Please check with your teacher or front desk for an appropriate time to make up the instruction. Absences DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rates. Make ups are for the occasional missed class due to illness or vacation. Students need to attend the same class on a regular basis in order to receive the best instruction possible. Please do not use make up classes just as an alternate class.
- Drop or Change Classes
Tuition will continue to be charged until notice is received of cancellation or change made via online customer portal. Once a class is dropped/cancelled no more charges will be applied to the account.
- Inclement Weather
Regular classes will NOT be held on days when Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are closed for bad weather. Cancelled classes due to inclement weather DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rate. Your student can attend a different class that week if available but a formal “make up” day will not be scheduled. Please check email, Facebook, or our NEWS page for up to date cancellation information.
- Payment Methods
We accept cash, check, Visa, Discover or Master Card. For your convenience, we are also happy to setup direct charge to a credit card for students enrolled in ongoing monthly classes; students using auto draft receive a $10 monthly discount.
- Late Fees & Bounced Checks
Tuition is due the 1st day of each month without exception. There is a $10 fee for late tuition with a maximum window of 30 days before your child will be asked to not attend a class. There is a $25 fee for bounced checks, so don’t do it!
