Our tuition is charged monthly based on the number of hours per week your child is in class.
*The monthly tuition for your child will not change or be pro-rated for months with holidays & vacations or for missed classes – you are charged the same tuition for every month enrolled September to May (or June-August for summer session). Some months have 5 classes and some vacation months only have 2. Our tuition pricing is based off the total for the year and then split into convenient monthly payments.
*In addition to tuition there is an annual registration fee (restarts Feb 15th each year), recital fee, and costume fee as outlined below. If you choose not to use our auto pay system, you must notify us in writing (email) prior to the first month of class and will be charged $10 more per month. Late fees are assessed for accounts not up to date by the 10th of each month.
There will be an annual non-refundable registration fee of $30 per student enrolled. For families, the fee is $30 for the first student and $15 for each additional student. The student pays this fee once each year and does not pay multiple registration fees for taking more than one class. This fee does not apply to adult classes. Students enrolled in summer classes will not pay registration fee again for fall.
Costume Fee added to February Tuition/Recital Fee added to March Tuition
The costume fees vary by class and run $60-$90 per class. For students taking multiple classes they will pay multiple costume fees but only one recital fee.
The recital fee is $25 per student and includes the recital tee shirt and recital digital download of the full show.
Recital tickets will be sold through the Halton Theater website beginning in February. All parents and guests are required to have a ticket.
If a student misses a class, she/he can make it up in a similar class within a month of the date missed. Make ups can not be scheduled until a class is missed, after the missed class you can log in the customer portal to schedule at your convenience. Absences DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rates. Make ups are for the occasional missed class due to illness or vacation. Students need to attend the same class on a regular basis in order to receive the best instruction possible. Please do not use make up classes just as an alternate class.
Tuition will continue to be charged until notice is received (by email or form at front desk) of cancellation or change made via online customer portal. Once a class is dropped/cancelled no more charges will be applied to the account. Your class cancellation is NOT confirmed until you receive an email from us. If you do not see this with in 3 days of alerting us please call or email.
Regular classes will NOT be held on days when Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are closed for bad weather. Cancelled classes due to inclement weather DO NOT reduce the monthly tuition rate. Your student can attend a different class that week if available but a formal “make up” day will not be scheduled. Please check email, Facebook, or our NEWS page for up to date cancellation information.
We accept cash, check, Visa, Discover or Master Card.
Tuition is due the 1st day of each month without exception. There is a $20 fee for late tuition with a maximum window of 30 days before your child will be asked to not attend a class. There is a $40 fee for bounced checks and for credit card chargebacks.
